Radium - Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister, Can-Am Maverick

The Radium Engineering Fuel Vent Charcoal Canister for the Can-Am Maverick traps fuel vapors and helps eliminate unwanted odors from the fuel tank vent system. This becomes especially important after installing a windshield, which can trap and redirect fuel vapors toward the occupants.
It mounts under the front RH fender panel for a stealth installation. All necessary, hoses, brackets and fittings are included. This system does NOT create a restriction in the fuel tank vent line.

TESTING

• Fuel vapor measurements were taken with a combustible gas detector which detects 50 ppm to 10,000 ppm.
• All probe testing was measured inside the atmospheric exit of the fuel tank vent
• Without the charcoal canister installed, the gas detector maxed out over 10,000 ppm of fuel vapor.
• With the charcoal canister installed, the gas detector did not measure any fuel vapor (<50 ppm).

Recharging the fuel vent charcoal canister is not required frequently and will vary depending on usage. Over time, the activated carbon may become saturated, reducing filtration efficiency.

Fortunately, the canister is serviceable and can be easily disassembled and recharged with fresh activated carbon. This service kit also includes a new 150-micron strainer.
