BMW E9X/E8X Electric Steering Rack Conversion
A standout feature of this kit is the steering rack conversion that allows you to install a BMW E9X/E8X electric steering rack (rack not included). By replacing the OEM Tesla rack with a BMW E9X/E8X unit, you gain a steering system that is stronger, more precise, and provides superior self-steer characteristics — essential for smooth, predictable drift transitions. This upgrade ensures that steering feel matches the performance potential of the suspension setup.

Clearance & Technical Requirements:
- Coilovers Required: This kit requires aftermarket coilovers for proper clearance and ride height adjustment.
- Wheel Size: Minimum wheel diameter is 18”.
- Fender Clearance: Depending on wheel width and offset (ET), wider aftermarket fenders or flares may be needed.
- Motorsport Use Only: Designed exclusively for closed-course competition use (not street legal). Note: installing a BMW steering rack will trigger steering system warning messages on the Tesla center display.
