Radium - FST-R Regulated Fuel Surge Tank (Integrated FPR)
The Radium Engineering FST-R (Fuel Surge Tank, Regulated) is a revolutionary all-in-one fuel delivery powerhouse that integrates an anti-starvation fuel surge tank and an adjustable billet fuel pressure regulator directly into a single compact canister (PN 20-1933). By recirculating regulated bypass fuel internally inside the surge tank buffer, the FST-R eliminates engine bay fuel lines, prevents heat soak, simplifies fuel plumbing down to a single feed line, and ensures constant fuel pressure under extreme multi-G track conditions.
Key Performance & Engineering Features:
- Integrated Tool-Less Fuel Pressure Regulator: Features Radium's patented tool-less pressure adjustment top assembly. Turn the adjustment knob with tactile haptic clicks (approx. 1 PSI per detent) with zero set screws or jam nuts required.
- 360-Degree Swivel Vacuum Reference Port: Industry-first dual O-ring sealed reference port swivels smoothly in any direction for clean hose routing. Includes 4 interchangeable port fittings (3/16" barb, -3AN male, 1/4" push-to-connect, and returnless block-off screw).
- Eliminates Fuel Return Heat Soak: Regulated overflow recirculates internally inside the surge tank instead of cycling through a hot engine bay fuel rail, keeping fuel supply dramatically cooler.
- Internal Single EFI Pump Housing: Designed to house a single high-flow internal fuel pump (sold separately) fully submerged in 1.4 liters of fuel buffer.
- Anti-Aeration Internal Flow Deflector: Fuel entering from the lift pump is directed away from the pump inlet to eliminate turbulence, aeration, and fuel frothing.
- High-Current Hermetic Bulkhead: Stainless steel electrical pass-through studs with non-conductive acorn nuts and a billet aluminum dust cover easily handle high-amperage modern fuel pumps safely.
- Full Compatibilité carburant: CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum with Type II anodizing, impervious to gasoline, race gas, ethanol blends (E85), and methanol.
Compatible Single Fuel Pumps:
The FST-R (20-1933) is sold without a fuel pump, allowing builders to choose the pump best matched to their power targets:
- Walbro / TI Automotive: GSS341, GSS342 (255 LPH), F90000267 (450 LPH), F90000274 (450 High Pressure), F90000285 (525 Hellcat), F90000295 (535 LPH)
- AEM: 50-1000, 50-1200 (340 LPH), 50-1220, 50-1230, 50-1235
- DeatschWerks: DW200, DW300, DW440 (brushless), DW810 (brushless)
- Bosch: BR540
- TI Automotive: E5LM (brushless)
Note: For fuel pumps without an internal check valve (such as Walbro F90000295 or AEM 50-1230/1235), an inline check valve (such as Radium 20-1534) can be installed if check valve functionality is desired.
Port Specifications:
- Top Lift In / Overflow Out Ports: 9/16"-18 (-6AN ORB) with pre-installed -6AN male adapters (plus one included -8AN male adapter fitting).
- Side Regulated Pressure Feed: 9/16"-18 (-6AN ORB) feeds directly to engine fuel rail.
